It’s a neck and neck race… against death
The Benson crew glimpses an alternative lifestyle when they enter Chipped Space.
After several bureaucratic hours, they visit the planet Third Diamond and meet a contact with an offer they can’t refuse no matter how much they want to. They enjoy/tolerate a spot of sight-seeing, but it’s not long before they end up creeping through clandestine tunnels and uncovering galaxy-shattering secrets.
The Object’s mysteries finally unravel, and the news is nothing good.
No one expected the citizens of Chipped Space to become a life-threatening obstacle. They’re too polite for their own good, and if they harbour any dark thoughts, they’re buried deep.
Unfortunately, the Benson crew is adept at bringing the darkest, most murderous thoughts to the surface…
